An amazing artist. I could look at his art all day. RIP.
Over the weekend, I looked at Necronomicon I. I've had this book for ~15 years and every time I look at it, it's still as enjoyable as all those times I first looked at it in the book store and I can stare at it just as long, if not longer.
Truly sad news . R.I.P.
RIP. We at least have the Alien movies and books to look at of his work.
I've loved Giger since I first became aware of him in high school. An amazing artist.
died due to a fall, such a shame, RIP.
Giger's brilliant work is timeless. Rest in peace.
Truly one of a kind. There will never be another like him. Rest peacefully, Hans.
RIP. A true one-of-a-kind.
May he rest in peace! Here a RIP tribute from photographer Laura Byrnes on Twitter regarding H.R. Giger's departure.
Damn this sucks there goes another legend. RIP
Agreed on the one-of-a-kind mentions. His influence will continue to ripple throughout the horror/SF community...forever, really.
Legend will live on!
Good night sweet prince, and may a flight of biogenetically enhanced roboangels grind thee to thy rest.
A true iconic visionary. RIP.
I would not be surprised to learn that he left behind an unfinished sculpture, along with instructions to complete it after his death by adding his own bones to it. Yeah, he was weird like that. And that's why we loved him.
A unique and talented artist who had a huge impact on the cinema scene as well. What a grand and surreal vision he had. Anyone remember his album cover for Debbie Harry's "Koo Koo" album ? Rest In Peace.
