I've collected posters for a long time too. The majority of mine are kept stored in a flat stack with cardboard spacers every so often. There has never been an issue of something looking like it's aged when I've gone through them. Recently I pulled out two one sheets for Sleepaway Camp and although they have the standard factory folds they look mint.

I'm curious over the excitement of the 3D version being available. Does everyone have a 3D TV to watch it? I thought they had flopped on the market and weren't even available anymore. I actually had one but gave it to a friend in need when I upgraded to a bigger screen. I mean it's cool they're including the 3D version after all these years; I just wonder how many people will actually be able to watch it in 3D.

I have a 3D set but no glasses. Even when it was new 9 years ago the glasses were expensive and hard to find. Now its almost impossible.

I hear the PS-VR is capable of playing 3D movies. It still won't work for me due to Shout's stupid region locking.

I have a projector (3D capable), 3D glasses, and a nice large screen so I am pretty happy to finally be able to see this in real 3D. This was the one film that I was still holding out hope for, but I figured it wouldn't come to fruition because 3D seems to be less popular with the studios.
BTW, I never owned a 3D TV because I was never interested in seeing 3D on a small screen, I find it to be too small to really have that enveloping 3D feeling.

My Sony TV has Active 3D, so it'll still play it fine. I will be upgrading to a 4K OLED in the near future...but should still have the old Sony by the time October rolls around. It does suck that all newer TV's have no 3D capabilities.

Oh... and Shout finally sent me an email order confirmation about 30 minutes ago. I only placed the order for the F13 set nearly 2 days ago now! o_O

Cliff MacMillan has been relatively active over at Blu-Ray.com, recently.

Part 6 may not have a new scan, but it is supposed to be color corrected. https://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.php?p=17853820&postcount=1268

"More extras will be announced in late August. Covid has impacted this set greatly. We are doing the best we can but some people still don’t want to leave their homes." https://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.php?p=17853825&postcount=1270

It would appear that it was Paramount's choice not to utilize 3D Film Archive / Bob Furmanek for the 3D restoration. https://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.php?p=17854293&postcount=1357

4k projectors can do 3d still right? I have a 1080p 3d projector now but will eventually go to 4k in a few years.

From what I've heard, I think they are the only option available for new 3D setups.

But corrected to what? I remember the best part about this site in the old days were the reviews. Specifically how the reviewers pointed out the changes to the look in different versions of Friday the 13th releases. Part 6 first release was more blue like in my avatar. The last release was more green. I tend to like the blue version.

They're going to remove to the green tint by the sounds of it, so that bluer look should be back.

I wonder if this also means they might be doing additional print cleanup to the other films not getting new scans? That's better than nothing in my books.

The entire set is worth $150 or whatever for Friday 3d alone.

I’m definitely considering it for precisely that reason, although I have no particular interest in upgrading anything beyond Part 8, especially F v J or the remake, which to me are simply bad movies not worth rewatching.

I thought Freddy vs Jason would be terrible. But I like it. It's more Nightmare on Elm Street than Friday the 13th. But the opening camp segment is good and spooky with the nude swim. And I enjoy the mystery and figuring out what's going on. I like the movie far more than the Friday the 13th 1, 3, 4, 5, and most likely 9. I need to find my post around here to see exactly where I put Freddy vs Jason in my best list.

Nope can’t get into it from the second that Freddy breaks the fourth wall and talks directly to the audience. A decent script writer would have been able to convey the plot through more natural storytelling. Instead they chose a rather hamfisted approach. Imagine if Freddy did the same thing at the beginning of the first elm st movie. I doubt that it would ever have become a classic.
