HOLY SHIT! If that's true, that's a Day 0 pre-order purchase from me! Deadbeat at Dawn is the quintessential underground no-budget action exploitation sleaze masterpiece and a slice of cinema that demands to be experienced (for those uninitiated)!
I've only seen The Manson Family, so I am stoked that Arrow is going to bring Deadbeat to HD. I've been wanting to see it for years.
That aside, shall we start a pool for how long it will be before Van Bebber starts drunkenly ripping into Arrow for one thing or another?
Koch Media in Germany is releasing a Killer Klowns 2/22 in a Mediabook for apparently the first time in HD in Germany:
There's a second DVD but there's not much in elaboration on the extras beyond, "Trailer, Interview features, Cut scenes, Audio commentary, Picture gallery." Which sounds like the same stuff.
Will be interesting if there's a new 4k transfer on it. Would lend credence to an Arrow upgrade.

Van Bebber was at Cinema Wasteland one year and made a complete drunken ass of himself. I was embarrassed for him. I do enjoy Deadbeat though and will most likely purchase this.

Hmm... American Beauty?
That's what I thought, wrong time to go with a Kevin Spacey movie me feels!
I suppose Blood and Roses would be too much to hope for.
I was also thinking American Beauty and how bad the timing was to be releasing a movie starring Kevin Spacey lol.
“New 2017 interview with actor Kevin Spacey” :/
"New 2017 interview with Christopher Plummer"
I think American Beauty would be more of an Arrow Academy title than Arrow Video, and it's a Dreamworks / Paramount title on both sides of the pond. I could see a UK exclusive release of Candyman (directed by Bernard Rose) as a possibility.
Popular guess seems to be Robert Altman's Images.
Running with the Bernard Rose guess, there's also Paperhouse?
Also Black Roses, but I assume Synapse still has the rights.
Yeah it’s likely Images, it was also featured in some of the catalogue cards that come with Arrow releases.
I really hope that’s the announcement. It’s one of my most anticipated titles and it’s one of Altman’s best films. Its depiction of schizophrenia is really terrifying and Vilmos Zsigmond’s cinematography will look stunning in high def, the DVD is really starting to show its age.
The Rose clue could be Guns and Roses or Drop Dead Roses.
