Also I noticed this in the Cult of Chucky special features:
    • Good Guy Gone Bad: The Incarnations of Chucky
Do you think that'll cover Chucky over the different films or is it maybe a sign that Chuckster will have a few different looks in the new film?

I suspect this will cover all of the different incarnations of Chucky.

Due to the frequency of immediate prices drops, I don't pre-order much anymore--but I pulled the trigger on this set. I have the Shout edition of the original on Blu, but none of the sequels. This is a very fair price.

You'd think they'd update it now that a better transfer is readily available but I guess it's probably cheaper to just re-use the older one for whatever reason.

I think it's because MGM is the one sublicensing Child's Play to Universal for this set. Ergo, they have to use their release.

Isn't Scream's release from MGM too seeing as they own the film?

I would also guess that Shout agreed to allowing them to sell the current Blu-ray release but only that Blu-ray release. No upgrades. So MGM would only offer that exact disc to Universal. To Shout the damage is already done, and any additional sales are probably peanuts. If they can negotiate a lower price out of it, maybe they did that.

I might replace my current box set if I can find this one for cheap and can sell my current blu set for a decent price. Otherwise, I might just elect to buy a stand-alone release of the new film.
