It was originally released as a pressed DVD years before the MOD reissue, but this is excellent news to upgrade from either.
I've never seen this one, but the documentary on the director included on Arrow's White Of The Eye disc is fascinating.
It's one of the best books that Dean Koontz ever wrote, long before he became too commercial for my tastes.
Skynet goes home invasion and gets horny. Definitely a product of its time, but grudgingly worth a watch. I'm in no hurry to upgrade my original DVD, and to be honest I only keep that out of nostalgia. My recommendation - stream it if you're curious, don't bother if you're sitting on the interest fence. While of a different focus, Colossus - The Forbin Project is by far a better example from that era of AI run amok.
I haven't watched this in a LOOOOONG time, and I could be totally off-base, but I recall it being a movie that looked drab, fuzzy, and indistinct on DVD. In my experience, films with greenish or brownish color palettes look a million times better in high-definition. Watching Chinatown on blu-ray is a completely different experience. I'm curious to revisit Demon Seed in hi-def.
