Off the rails is an understatement. One of the funniest movies I've seen in a while. It's a spoof and it's done perfectly. A couple of the bro parts I had to rewind several times........Don't wanna ruin it for anyone, but I can't recommend this one enough. Do yourself a favor and pick up a copy through the link I posted previously. You're not going to find a better party flick to throw in with a room full of friends drinking. It's a crowd pleaser, I promise.
Spoiler: Spoiler The souls of the bros which go into Brent, turning him into a Super Bro, ala Super Shredder in Ninja Turtles 2........hits motherface 17 times. I counted LOL I've also watched it at least 10 times, absolutely hysterical. Just pummeling an unconscious/dead woman. It was perfect
Watched this last night and had a blast. It is quite funny and reminded me of a Troma film in a good way. What a twist the bag of oranges turned out to be! The Super bro fight was hilarious too.
I cannot get the Super Bro fight out of my mind, man...... one of the funniest god damn things I've ever seen. I literally put the dvd in yesterday for 90 seconds just to watch that scene a few times. All 15-20 glorious seconds of it hahahahaha Turbeaux is definitely my favorite bro. "This is the meat box.........you live here now......... this is your home......... lick the inside for a real 3D experience....... you little shit bag"
Sorry for the dumb question but I can't quite figure it out from the site: If I buy the DVD or Blu, do I get the VHS quality version PLUS the HD version? I really want the VHS quality version but the only way I can see to get that is digital download or an actual VHS. thanks, dude bros.
Yup, if you just hit play it's the "VHS" version. In the special features it gives you the option to watch the HD version. Haven't watched it in HD yet and don't foresee doing that any time soon either. I'm sure I will eventually. Put it on again last night while the wife was cooking, just to watch a couple of quick parts. Including the Super Bro fight, which hasn't gotten old in the 15-20 times I've watched it. "I'll always be with you, Bro..........right in your butt"
All depends on your sense of humor. Just keep in mind this movie is a spoof. It's not a horror movie. There is a ridiculous amount of kills, especially at the beginning. But they're all meant for laughs. Ever see Don't be a Menace to South Central while They drink their Juice in the Hood? Same tone. Just has a bunch of frat bros instead. I THINK it's worth a buy, but I don't wanna see you waste your money on something you might not enjoy as much as I did. Let us know if you give it a shot, love to hear more opinions.
I'm a big fan of Astron-6's films and shit like Kung Fury, Turbo Kid, etc. The trailer looks great, but I am unsure about the rewatch likelihood while I am in the UK and away from all my pals who watch these terrible films with me.
This badboy got rewatch value written all over it, I promise. I also kinda dig the fact you can only buy this through their website. You know your money is going directly to the folks responsible for this masterpiece. I just wish I knew about this group before production began so I could have donated a couple of bucks towards the effort, giving me a shout in the end credits. "I'm a bag of oranges....... wait, what?" hahaaaaaaa I actually convinced the wife to sit down and watch this with me this weekend. I plan on getting obnoxiously drunk and annoying the shit out of her for the duration......you know, give her the genuine experience of sitting next to a drunk bro, while watching drunk bros. Gotta find a frat Greek T shirt to wear....... Got my eye on this sweet t shirt, too.
Fuck it, okay. Purchased. Sending it to my sister's address in the US for watching when I visit in October (and to save on postage; living in London SUCKS for int'l shipping).
I ordered the Blu-ray the other day, and got a shipment email earlier today. Yay! I might try and check out the included digital download tonight in advance.
@Katatonia Could you please confirm whether it is a genuine Blu Ray or just a Blu Ray-R once it has arrived. Thanks!
