Awesome news! Looking forward to seeing this one day.

At least for the filmmakers, they'll be able to copyright this particular version and get some profits off it. ;)

Well now apparently people are beginning to walk back these reports. Whether it's the 9 minutes being found or Scorsese's involvement or both I don't know. But I guess we should all temper our expectations until we hear something more official. Which may be sometime.

The latest post on blu-ray.com featured a summary of a more recent interview with Mr. Romero at a convention. He apparently said that he let out more information than he was supposed to, but added that the workprint found was actually John Russo's. Whatever happens, I hope it's sooner rather than later.

Well there is the Region A Happinet Japan Blu. The PQ is great (best the film has ever looked) and it's loaded with extra features.

It will hold me off just fine until we get this restored edition.

Exactly. Also I guarantee you'll get it faster from Amazon.jp than Amazon.com (unless you have Prime). They ship the next day DHL and it usually arrives in the U.S. within 2-3 days after placing the order. It's cheap, has great packaging, looks awesome and has great extras. Even if you don't like ordering outside of the U.S., this is a terrific exception. I love Amazon.jp and Japan is region A, same as the U.S.
