Thats funny the prequel stuff is the part i didn't mind as much. the remake stuff was just the original trunkated and worse.

As for the 3 disc set "HEY DIMENSION Wheres the new disc for H20 or Curse of Michael Myers!?" niether of those dvd are even anamorphic yet RZ halloween already has 2 extras packed dvds out. While we are at it "WHERES KILL BILL: THE WHOLE BLOODY AFFAIR"!

  3. I loved his remake, but even I think a 3rd disc is NOT necessary!

Well - I guess if a 3 disc set will encompass some new version of the movie, like one with new scenes, I think someone might benefit from it. But no extra bonus disc will make the movie any better. So... Yeah, it's unnecessary.

I'm sure it will be the same 2 disc unrated, with a 4.5 hour doc on disc 3.
I really like this movie but will still pass. If the library gets it (doubtful, they only had the theater version of the first release) I might check it out. My days of buying another disc for a doc are over, even for 4.5 hours.

4 1/2 hours? Really, how self indulgent can one director be?

The Weinsteins releasing another version of Halloween this time actually around Halloween, something they didn't manage to do with the release of the movie or the first DVD? I am shocked they actually got the timing right, albeit really late in the game.

I am pretty pissed about this whole 4 1/2 hour making of feature though. Way to screw the fans Rob. If there is one thing I hate, it's double dips with actual new material. FUCK YOU!

Isn't Rob afraid his white trash fans are going to set fire to his mobile home for this double-dip? Worth thinking about, Rob.

I wouldn't care less, totally unnecessary effort IMO. I wish they added these sort of "bonus discs" to other Halloween prequels that fans would eventually be more interested in... oh well...

Ya know, I'm really surprised at all the hatred Rob's getting for Halloween. Don't get me wrong, I understand that the original is a fucking classic that didn't need to be tampered with, I wasn't exactly sold on the idea from the beginning. After seing it a few times though, I can honestly say that I appreciate it for what it is. It'll never replace the original, but I think it stands on it's own as a very powerful film. It's like a love letter to the style that influenced guys like him to start making their own movies in the first place. Yeah, it's low brow, white-trash, 70's style, but that's who he is. That's the kind of films he's striving to make. He put his own spin on it and I enjoyed it. Horror fans just love to hate so much! It's kind of pathetic. Same with Eli Roth. His films aren't great by any means, but he certainly is paying a respectful homage to the predecessors in the genre...just my 2 cents and I know, nobody asked me. I'll probably buy a 3 disc set for this film because I happen to find behind the scenes documentaries on the film-making process fascinating. I personally hope he continues to make the kind of films that I grew up on and love. I think he's trying to bring it back to the old-school style of horror, much like Tarantino bites hong kong action flicks and such. Anyway, rant over. Long live ROB ZOMBIE!!!

  18. I saw the Unrated 2 disc on sale at Target for $10. Sale's going on until Saturday. Maybe I'll go and pick it up finally. If someone finds out what's on the 3rd disc, let us know.
