Read this interview Rock! Shock! Pop! did with Walter Olsen.

Walter also has THE POWER (1984).

DAY OF THE ANIMALS, GRIZZLY, HUMAN EXPERIMENTS and DEATH SHIP are coming to blu-ray!

Good interview. Walter mentioned the Twilight Time limited run releases. Hopefully the Blu-rays from Scorpion won't be priced like Twilight Time. Very happy about Day of the Animals and Grizzly! Never saw Death Ship, but am interested in that one too.

Ahhh The Power? Finally! That should have been on DVD like 12 years ago. Makes you wonder again what the holdup was.

Awesome for DEATH SHIP. Haven't seen that one since the VHS days. Glad to see, hopefully some of their slashers follow suit!

I was hoping for Blood Rage from 1983/1987, but Scorpion said no because apparently it's in the works somewhere else, *I think/as I recall*. So while sadface for Scorpion, could be great news for that. We'll have to see.

They've also got two Greydon Clark films on the schedule (Angels Brigade & Alley Cat) but still no word on WITHOUT WARNING even though it's listed as owned by the same company as all these other Film Ventures titles that Scorpion acquired. I'd love to find out once and for all just WHO exactly controls this - why is it such a big mystery?

MGM control WITHOUT WARNING. Not sure why there's a mystery?

Yup, MGM owns that mother and I'm still convinced it'll show one day on their program.

The current owners of the Film Ventures library, Camelot Entertainment, have WITHOUT WARNING listed as part of the catalog. At least it was listed last time I checked, which was a month ago. If it's controlled by MGM, why would Camelot claim they have it?

Is it possible MGM owns the television rights for it?

I know they own the television rights for NIGHT OF THE DEMONS but the actual rights holders for home video and theatrical distribution are Blue Rider Pictures.

Maybe that's the same case here?

If MGM only has TV rights then there's definitely a chance Scorpion will put out a DVD eventually. Only thing left to figure out is who has the home video rights.

the power actually was filmed sometime in 1980, but not released until ealry 84 to cash in on the current horror movie crop that was about to die...
