Cool by me. Always down to directly support filmmakers.
Very tempting, but I'll probably just stick with the 88 Films release. It would be nice to hear some further details about what the 88 Films Blu-ray will have though.
Of all people, I'm surprised you aren't getting this.
I didn't say I wouldn't get it... I would just really like to know more details about the 88 Films release. $35 is a lot to spend for a movie that truthfully isn't among my favorites. It's about $20 more than what I have the 88 Films release pre-order locked in for.
If someone is region locked to "A" then it's the only option, but the region locking of the 88 Films release isn't an impediment for me.
I get it - I just feel like you are the guy that ALWAYS has those super obscure limited/indiegogo type releases, no matter how obscure. I thought it was a fun movie but less as a movie itself and more as "this is the type of movie I would have made in my hometown in my 20s" kind of way.
The more I look at the specs, the more it interests me. The unreleased songs on the CD might be promising. :nervous:
As far as super obscure stuff... there's a new SRS Blu-ray of early Polonia films if anyone is interested, limited to 200 copies, upscaled from VHS. But NO, I am not ordering that one!
I'll stick with the 88 Films release. i love The Dead Next Door and all, but I don't need four damn versions of it.
Ha! I skipped that one as well, but against my better judgement got the Killing Spree Blu.
Katatonia has stuff on preorder we ain't ever even heard of. :nervous:
THIS I´m gonna get
Really interested in hearing the new soundmix featuring the original voices.
The campaign ends in 9 hours if anyone here still wants to contribute and get one.
J.R. posted some more details about the release over at Blu-ray.com, so I went ahead and contributed... it does sound like it'll be a solid release and I'd hate to miss out on it.
The cover art has been altered, or have reversible artwork, and they'll all now be numbered and signed.
Bookwalter mentioned they might be announcing news regarding a proper blu-ray release next week. I'll wait. Looks like a nice edition, but $35 is way more than I'm willing to spend on this particular movie. I would have considered the $25 option, but looks like that is sold out and don't care to jump through hoops to get one.
Actually, they just put more up for $25. Includes the 3-Disc Special Edition Blu-ray / DVD / CD, full size double-sided poster with the theatrical artwork and blu-ray artwork, and a bumper sticker.
I went ahead and got my pledge in. $25 is definitely a fair price for all that.
Son of a bitch!
I did a contribution a few minutes ago
Hope he reaches the goal and can add the new dub mix.
They added more of them. I just got one. I was thinking of pulling the trigger. This was more than enough incentive. I didn't want to spend $35. Couldn't pass it up for $25.
For anyone who missed out on the IndieGoGo campaign, there are more available for $35 shipped through the Tempe webstore. $25 shipped today only until midnight.
^ The coupon code was extended an extra day, so still $25 shipped today.
There was no way I was gonna pay $35 US +$25 US shipping to Canada from the Indiegogo, so $35 US shipped to Canada with the coupon code I can handle. Pre-ordered!
