Train to Busan was alright, but really had nothing much to add to this now tired sub genre. Basically just a 28 Days Later retread based on a train in Korea.

Finally saw this. Overall I enjoyed it. The only real weaknesses for me were that it felt a bit like an after school special at times - maybe just the way it was filmed or edited, but the character moments seemed to dwell on the tears a bit melodramatically. It also really beats you over the head with "be a good citizen" preachiness.

On the other hand, the action was good, the tension good, the effects quite good, and so overall this was good. REC was probably the last great horror zombie movie, and this doesn't come close to that, but it's much better than most.
