Very curious about Alien Prey. Previous versions looked so rough.
I'm really looking forward to House of the Dead (a.k.a. Alien Zone). Saw this horror anthology film just once on television as a kid. One of the stories stuck with me. A really nasty lady that lives alone is stalked by creepy children in cheap old school Halloween masks.
I watched ALIEN ZONE last year for the first time, uneven but interesting. There's something about some of these little regional titles that kind of fascinate me. I've worked on a lot of shorts over the years and I guess that kind of draws me to these low budget obscure pictures. This film being an anthology helps, I'm a sucker for anthologies.
Excerpts from today's email update:
Only 2 weeks left until our annual Black Friday weekend sale (November 24th–27th at VinegarSyndrome.com!)
More info on the secret horror Blus!
First off, since there's been some debate on the art for the surprise horror Blus, the one in the background (left) is based on original art whereas the foreground is 100% new. That's all on those...for now...
First look at the PENITENTIARY artwork!
We're also very pleased to unveil the art for our upcoming Blu of Jamaa Fanaka's PENITENTIARY, coming in January. In a first for one of our slipcase editions, the art featured on the slip will be different from the two options on the Blu-ray sleeve. Featured on the slip will be Earl Kess' embossed rendering of the beautiful Italian poster while the sleeve itself will feature two versions of the 1 sheet.

FUGITIVE GIRLS is coming in January!
Also slated for January is AC Stephen's absurd Ed Wood scripted women-escape-from-prison sexploitation gem, FUGITIVE GIRLS, presented in its never before on disc original director's cut! The release will feature a brand new 2k restoration from the original negative, an archival interview with co-star and major sexploitation pioneer in her own right, Tallie Cochran, plus more!
Also fresh for Black Friday will be two brand new shirt designs plus a new hoodie!

VS released a couple more teasers.
People are now betting the house it's Ice Cream Man (1995) and Disconnected (1983)
Excellent! On the money CPT Hook.
Assuming they're right of course, but I'm feeling fairly confident.
We'll know for sure in a week.
If that is correct, I'll be 100% happy with my risky blind order. But I'm pretty easy when it comes to horror anyway.
Still have ice cream man dvd but would gladly upgrade if true!
I'll definitely be swinging through The Archive on Saturday afternoon. If anyone else around here plans on going lemme know!
^^^ Oh that looks friggin' sweet in blacklight, can't wait to get it!
VS emailed me $5 off earlier to use on the BF sale since I pre-ordered Liquid Sky + the "Mystery Titles" back in September, which is pretty cool of them as a bonus perk.
Same here This BF is going to leave my wallet empty this year with all these great sales
LOL, yeah I'm trying to keep it light. I ordered almost nothing last year during BF, but this year it seems like there are some solid deals!
Same here. Because of that , I will pick up a title. If I didn't get that, probably would have passed.
Ice Cream Man and Disconnected confirmed - both are up now on the Vinegar Syndrome website!
I pre-ordered the secret Black Friday package. If there's a similar offer next year, I'll probably wait to see what the titles are. Ice Cream Man doesn't look like my kind of thing, but hopefully I can sell it without losing too much money.
I also already got the "Secret Black Friday Package" with Liquid Sky + Ice Cream Man & Disconnected the other month...so I was set there.
I ordered these on the BF sale:
Trip with the Teacher $17.99
Count Dracula's Great Love $11.99
+ Free Combined Shipping
Total = $42.97
i picked the Seeds/Vapor double bill with the code off (which is nice of them)
can someone here tell me if Disconnected is anything like Psychos In Love? cause I absolutely hated that film and since it's by the same director, I really hope this is different
