FADE TO BLACK getting re-issued on 9/24!

http://www.dvdempire.com/1662800/fad...ack-movie.html

Looks like Paramount now has the rights.

Expect an uncut, feature-laden release.

Amazon pre-order:

http://www.amazon.com/Fade-to-Black/...=fade+to+black

It lists Warner Home Video as the distributor. Either a mistake or part of their deal with Paramount? :/

UPDATE: Now here's something weird, Warner Shop has it listed too, but they state it was released in 2004:

http://www.wbshop.com/product/fade+t...ks&from=Search

UPDATE 2: OK, I'm looking at the DVDEmpire link again, obviously WB made a mistake with the film's date.

Underrated movie, I'm a fan.

Good for those who don't have the Anchor Bay.

Their Tales from the Darkside reissue also lists the date of that edition as 2003 but lists Warner as a distributor on the back.

Yes, I've been meaning to pick this up forever, but the Anchor Bay release is way too expensive.

I still have the novelization, but for some reason I never bought the movie.

Uhmmm... I actually think DVD Empire may have gotten it wrong.

Jay-Z - Fade to Black (2004)

It actually would make a lot more sense if Paramount were rereleasing this than if they suddenly got the rights to Fade to Black (1980).

Yeah, that would make more sense (that and WBshop has 5.1 Surround listed). They really should be correct/specific with these titles.

For what it's worth, a reviewer wrote on amazon that this is a reissue of the Jay-Z dvd by Warner through their deal with Paramount. I certainly hope that's wrong though.

Shit. Y'all had me going there for a minute. I remember really enjoying the 1980 movie, just before the DVD went out of print. I'd be more than happy to buy a copy if it ever comes out again. C'mon, Scream Factory!
